The Fire Marshal for the city of Carlsbad has indicated that in order t o
use PVC piping for the heat pump loop above the ceiling, the space above
the ceiling must be fire sprinklered or the piping must be in a fire
rated enclosure. It is our understanding that the installed sprinkler
heads above the ceiling will remain there and the tenants will install
new sprinkler heads below the ceiling. We believe that this w\11
satisfy the Fire Marshal.
