WHAT IS
SOCIAL MOBILITY?
Social mobility is traditionally defined as the
movement of individuals from one socioeconomic status
to another.
At CSUSM, it means so much more…
It’s about helping our students
transcend barriers faced by earlier generations…
It’s about unlocking
individual potential for lifelong success…
It’s about
supporting inclusive economic growth for our
entire region…
And it’s about…
fueling the next generation of changemakers
who will give back and lift up those who follow in
their footsteps.
