Meeting Location
In response to requests from the City of Carlsbad and Carlsbad residents, beginning July 18, 2024,
the Palomar Airport Advisory Committee will meet at the Carlsbad Chamber of Commerce
(5934 Priestly Drive, Carlsbad), located approximately one-and-one-half miles from the entrance
to McClellan-Palomar Airport.
Committee Membership
On May 21, 2024, the San Diego County Board of Supervisors appointed the following individuals
to serve on the PAAC:
Third District Supervisor's Appointments:
Gary Greening for a term to expire January 6, 2025.
Howard Krausz for a term to expire January 6, 2025.
Larry Cohen for a term to expire January 6, 2025.
Fifth District Supervisor's Appointments:
Kevin Karpe for a term to expire January 4, 2027.
Gordon Nesbitt for a term to expire January 4, 2027.
Clifford Kaiser for a term to expire January 4, 2027.
Given the ongoing appointments of Shirley Anderson and Armen Kurdian, only the committee
seat to be nominated by the County Chief Administrative Officer remains vacant at this time.
There is no clear timeline for filling the remaining seat.
