Dr. Edward Fox commented on the installation of peace poles in the proposed Veterans Memorial
park.
DEPARTMENTAL REPORTS:
1. VETERANS MEMORIAL PARK PUBLIC ART PROJECT AND ARTIST SELECTION PROCESS -
Review and rank artists' submissions for the Veterans Memorial Park public art project.

Recommended Action: Receive and review qualified artists' submissions for the
Veterans Memorial Park public art project and score submissions in order to select the
highest ranked artist or artist team, who will be invited to make a presentation to the
Public Art Advisory Subcommittee at a subsequent scheduled meeting.
Subcommittee members received the report and reviewed a PowerPoint presentation (on
file in the Office of the City Clerk).
Subcommittee members reviewed, discussed, and scored 35 artists' submissions for the
Veterans Memorial Park permanent public art project, selecting four artists or artist teams to
present at a subsequent meeting tentatively scheduled for June 12, 2024.
