Fiscal Analysis This action has no fiscal impact. Environmental Evaluation In keeping with California Public Resources Code Section 21065, this action does not constitute a “project” within the meaning of the California Environmental Quality Act in that it has no potential to cause either a direct physical change in the environment, or a reasonably foreseeable indirect physical change in the environment. Therefore, it does not require environmental review. Public Notification This item was noticed in keeping with the Ralph M. Brown Act and it was available for public viewing and review at least 72 hours before the scheduled meeting date. Exhibits None. Driver suffered severe injuries and collision may have been intentional. On June 12, 2024, the police department hosted the Countywide Interagency Traffic Enforcement (CITE) day. 32 motor officers from various agencies assisted with traffic enforcement. 201 citations were issued, along with 14 warnings and 6 E-bike related citations. On June 13, 2024, at 1311 hours, a MC traveling N/B on Alicante Rd and struck a vehicle, making a left turn, violating the MC’s right of way. Moderate injuries to left leg. On June 19, 2024, the Traffic Division collaborated with Escondido PD on an E-bike/E-motorcycle detail. Detail resulted in 25 citations, four warnings and four e-motorcycles towed.
