Level Sprinklers described in thls dala
sheet are automatic sprinklers of the
"slandard resp011$e" 5 mm frangible
bulb type. They are 'slancfard spray"
sprinklers intended la< use in fire sprln•
kier systems designed in accordance
with the standard installation rol,es rec-
ognized by the applicable Ualing or
Approval agency (e.g., UL Listing is
based on NFPA requirements). Solh
the Pendent and Upright Sprinklers
produce a hemispherical water dlstr1•
bulion patlern below the de1lec1or.
Intermediate Level Sprinklers are pri-
marily designed lor use In rack storage
sprinkler systems where their ther-
mally sensitive elemenls must be
shielded lrom the water spray ol h,gher

earlier during a lire. Intermediate Level
Sprinklers are also used in olher appli·
cations such as beneath open gridded
cetwalks,

that which would otherwise be ob-
tained when exposed to corrosive at•
