NOTICE TO THE PUBLIC:
Meetings are divided into the categories shown below.
CONSENT AGENDA: These items are considered routine and will be enacted by one motion. No
separate discussion will occur, unless an item is removed. To speak on a consent item, a “Request to
Speak” form must be filed with the Minutes Clerk before the item is announced. There is a five (5)
minute time limit for individual speakers.
PUBLIC COMMENT: If you desire to speak about an item that is not listed on the agenda, a “Time
Reservation Request” form should be filed with the Minutes Clerk. Speakers are limited to five (5)
minutes each. In conformance with the Brown Act, no action can occur on items presented during
Public Comment.
ALL OTHER CATEGORIES: For all other agenda items, a “Request to Speak” form must be filed with
the Secretary before the item is announced. There is a five (5) minute time limit for individual
speakers.
When you are called to speak, please come forward and state your name and address for the record.
Persons with a disability may request an agenda packet in appropriate alternative formats as required
by the Americans with Disabilities Act of 1990 by contacting the staff at 760-602-4682. All persons
requiring reasonable accommodations or auxiliary aids in order to effectively participate in the meeting
should contact staff by 5:00 p.m. Monday preceding the meeting to make such arrangements.
PLEASE NOTE: Any agenda related writings or documents provided to the majority of the Board or
Commission after distribution of the Agenda packet, will be available for public inspection at the Senior
Center reception counter located at 799 Pine Avenue, Carlsbad, CA 92008. In addition, a binder
containing all agenda related writings and documents will be held by the staff liaison at each Board or
Commission meeting and available for public review.

1. SR # 0318-1 SUMMARY REPORT – (ACTION)
Commission will consider accepting, approving and filing the February 1, 2018 Senior
Commission meeting Summary Report.
DEPARTMENTAL REPORTS:
2. SR # 0318-2 SENIOR COMMISSION WORK PLAN – (INFORMATION)
Senior Commissioners will come up with ideas for a work plan.
3. SR # 0318-3 SENIOR CENTER REPORT – (INFORMATION)
Commission will receive Senior Center Report provided by Recreation Area Manager
Mark Olson.
