Initial review: (Note: This commentary identifies fire protection issues associated
with the project, andor prescribes specific corrections needed to achieve Fire Department
approval.)
1. The Fire Department recommends denial of the application if the
proposed structure lies within a recorded "Fire Suppression Zone."
2. Aluminum structures may be used within a fire suppression zone
when the roof of the structure is 50% open such as in lattice shade
covers. Solid roof structures are not appropriate for these situations.
