SUBJECT: REQUEST FOR PERMISSION TO PARK A RECREATIONAL
VEHICLE IN THE FRONTLYARD SETBACK AT 2751 VICTORIA
AVENUE
Dear Mr. & Mrs. Wiestling:
The following is in regard to your request to park a recreational vehicle in your front
yard setback. As stated in Section 21.44.050(2)(C) of the Zoning Ordinance, the
Planning Director may approve RV parking in the front yard setback under certain .
circumstances. These circumstances are listed in the ordinance, a copy of which is
enclosed.
A resident in your neighborhood has informed the Planning Department that your
subdivision is subject to Covenants, Codes and Restrictions (CC&Rs) that do not
allow RV parking in the front yard. While CC&Rs cannot be less restrictive than the
Zoning Ordinance, they can be more restrictive. It is the policy of the Planning
Department to not issue permits or approvals that would conflict with applicable
CC&Rs. Therefore, the Planning Department is not able to recommend approval of
front yard RV parking or a variance for such.
Please refer to your CC&Rs regarding restrictions on RV parking. If the information
provided to the Department was not correct, please provide a title report or some
other indication that your property is not subject to the above-referenced restrictions.
Feel free to contact me at (760) 602-4629 if you have any questions.
Sincerely, r
GREG FISHER
