Members of The Planning Commission:
I am writing to oppose the granting of an Administrative Variance
to approve a six foot high fence encroaching eleven feet within
the twenty foot front yard setback on property 'located on the north side of Juniper Street between Garfield street and the AT&F Baillroad. The property is further desc~ibed as An undivided 1/16 interest in Lot 1 of CT 73-30 of Map 7961,filed June 12, 1974.
The property I own and reside in at 254 Juniper We, #B-4 is
also a part of Lot 1 which makes me owner also of 1/16 undivided interest,
In my opinion, as owner and resident which is equally important,
any kind of fence, however grand or well-constructed which would isolate the Beilbey property from the other three units
on the landscape. In the meantime, the existing aging fence is an eyesore. I believe the eyesore detracts from my property even though the unit I own is not adjacent to the Beilbey unit.
In addition to objecting to granting of the variance becauseof
aesthetic aspsts, it needs to be pointed out that when a lawsuit
now pending, against all the owners of Lot 1 is settled, it might
result in the need for some sort of 'enclosure that would surround
all the common property belonging to Lot 1 which faces Juniper
existing would prove a complication.
Finally, maintenance of the plantings intended to mask the presence
of the existing fence add to the work of a gardener employed
facing Juniper Street would constitute an inharmonious intrusion
street, In that event, the presence of a single fence already
by the homeowners association which my monthly fees support. If
the fence is not approved, my money and the garwer's time can be put to bett e:' use.
