HomeMy WebLinkAboutAV 85-13; Kuhns David Fence; Administrative Variance (AV) (4)" February 5, 1986 TO: City of Carlsbad REF: Supplemental information for 7' fence variance, for David and Lisa Kuhns, 7974 Amargosa Dr. The following items are further justification and explanation for item 4a. on Variance Supplemental Information Form. 1) The section where the 7' fence will go is adjacent to a 4' wall. The top of the wall is essentially at our neighbors lot elevation (see elevation diagram). Children from the neighborhood often walk on the wall since it is easily accessible from the neighbors lot. If the adjacent fence is built to 6' rather than 7', the children can eaisly step into our backyard from the wall. Theref ore, the fence must be 7' for security and safety reasons. 2) Our street is on an incline. If the fence was built to 6', it would be possible to stand on the sidewalk above our lot and see directly over the fence. Therefore, the fence must be 7' for privacy reasons.
