P- It is noted that the vehicle creates a severe restriction of sight distance for other vehicles exiting my driveway. Actually the front of the recreational vehicle is twelve feet behind the curb and could be parked further back than is necessary. In that twelve to fifteen feet, there is a sight restriction caused by shrubs and trees in the neighbor's yard. The r.v. has no influence whatsoever as far as seeing south on that street. It certainly has no relationship to vision in the northerly direction--that is quite wide open. Argonauta Way is not a through street and there is very little traffic. The traffic is limited to residents of the street and their visitors and individuals to perform services for the homes in that particular area. As far as my driveway is concerned, my wife and I are the only individuals who consistently use that driveway to enter and exit my property. The other individuals who do so are primarily maintenance people--gardeners, swimning pool maintenance individuals, etc.--who are familiar with the property and would be as careful entering and exiting the driveway as we are. We have lived here for somewhat over two years and the vehicle has been parked in that exact location during that period of time. There has been no accident or no complaint concerning safety or restriction of vision or any other type of problem with that particular arrangement. If the r.v. were moved, vision in the southerly direction would not be improved at all unless several trees on the neighboring lots were removed. Finally, in backing out of my driveway, the approaching traffic on our side of the street is from the other direction from which there is a clear and unstructed view. Enclosed are copies of photographs illustrating my claims concerning the alleged interference of view from my driveway. I hope this will help clarify the matter. I will be happy to meet with you or someone else from the planning department and demonstrate the validity of the statements encompassed in this letter. Sincerely, "G3.UX.Q. Walter T.
