HomeMy WebLinkAboutAV 92-03; Richardson Variance; Administrative Variance (AV) (8)September 14, 1992 Mr. Gary Wayne Assistant Planning Director 2075 Las Palmas Drive Carlsbad, CA 92009 Dear Mr. Wayne: This letter comes in response to the request for an administrative variance (case file # AV92-03) at 7108 Mimosa Drive. We have just completed a Seaport Community questionnaire survey; of all the questions asked, the biggest concern to neighbors is the visible storage of R.V.'s, trailers and boats in front of homes. Of the 63 responses to the question, ItR.V./boats need to be moved out or stored behind fencestt, 56 strongly agreed or agreed with the statement. This shows that 88% of the homeowners don't want R.V.'s, boats or trailers stored in front of homes. It negatively impacts the appearance of the neighborhood and thus the value of homes. The Seaport C.C.& R.'s restrict the storage of R.V.'s and boats: IINo boats, trailers, house trailers or trucks larger than half ton capacity shall be parked or stored in or upon the driveways of any lot in said tractnt (please see attached). We are in support of the Carlsbad City Code 21.44.060 (off- street parking-residential zone). If you have any questions you may reach Bruce Hobba at (619) 431-1424. Or write: Seaporters Post Office Box 188091 Carlsbad, CA 92009 Thank you for your consideration. SEAPORT HOMEOWNERS
