Side Yard Reduction Request
Dear Mr. Holzmiller,
The purpose of this letter is to respectively request a side yard reduction in accordance with
Section 21.10.040 Side Yards subparagraph (2). A reduced map of the site plan is attached for
your information.
It is my understanding from staff that I am supposed to measure the width of the lot at the front
yard setback along the arc dictated by building line arc. As the drawing shows, the north side
yard requested is 6 feet. By my estimate the arc distance is about 80 feet at the front yard
setback. Therefore, this is a two foot reduction in the setback on the north side. On the other
south side yard, with a two foot increase in setback to ten feet there is significantly more space
on that side yard.
The parcel next door is vacant. I am requesting this now to expedite the process; however, I
understand it is not pp-t of the variance application. Thank you for your timely consideration.
