We object to the granting of a variance on the above-referenced property on Chinquapin
Avenue. The density in the area is alarming. If you grant a variance in this case, you are
inviting lesser setback requirements on all housing in the area. Our residence had to
conform to all setback requirements when we built. Why would you grant a variance to
one applicant and not another? We accepted constructing our residence in accordance
with setback requirements because we expected everyone else would have to conform to
those same requirements. The setback in question on Chinquapin will affect our own
backyard. We do not want buildings any closer than necessary. Leave all setbacks as
