HomeMy WebLinkAboutAV 99-09; Belko RV Variance; Administrative Variance (AV) (4)Planning Department City of Carlsbad 1625 Faraday Avenue Carlsbad, California 92008 To whom it may concern: This letter is in response to a letter received April 14,2000 i.e administrative approval for allowing a recreational vehicle to be parked in the front yard set back (driveway by any other name) of the the Belko residence 2005 Pintoresco Court,. La Costa, California. I am vehemently opposed to this. According to the Protective Conditions and Restrictions of the Green Valley Knolls subdivision made on the 21‘’ day of September 1976, Article IV Number 6: “No living trailer, house car or “campster”, boat or boat trailer or similar vehicle shall be parked on any road or building site either temporarily or permanently, nor shall any motor vehicle not capable of being operated be parked for longer that forty-eight (48) hours outside of a garage on any street, lot, or building site. Other than customary maintaenance work and minor emergency repairs, there shall be no painting, repairing or mechanical work done on any motor vehicle on any street, residential lot, or building site.” This property is located directly across the street from my property located at 2006 Pintoresco Court and would be in full view from every window in the front of the house. I believe it will be an eyesore to the entire community. I have seen this vehicle and it is massive in size. It takes up the full driveway. I believe that Mr. Belko also knew of the restrictions when he purchased this property and should not be asking for an exception for himself now. I am now asking for an informal hearing to discuss this issue before any approval is automatically granted on this request. Dr. Marlin E.
