CIP 4714 -Fleet Maintenance Building Refurbishment, 2480 Impala Drive, Carlsbad May 23, 2018 Purpose of Work: Refurbishment need is to optimize use of building footprint for increased number of service bays and to relocate vehicle parts room and offices for improved security and operational efficiency. Scope of Work: A. Space improvements -Interior renovations to relocate parts room, rotary lift, locker room and lounge and to construct new offices/work areas with new walls, doors, windows, ceilings in select areas, interior painting and carpeting. B. Infrastructure improvements: L HVAC-new heating, ventilating and air conditioning equipment and exhaust fans; 2. Electrical -Interior lighting upgrade to LED; 3. Plumbing -new restroom due to relocation of existing; 4. Roof-Roof refurbishment including replacement of roof hatch and installation of OSHA compliant railings at sky lights and at roof hatch. C. Building footprint/facade changes -Concrete masonry unit (CMU) block addition at southeast corner of building for new office space, approximately 528 usable square feet (USF) in area and roof section elevation change in northeast corner of building to create vertical space for 2 additional service bays, approximately 1,073 square feet of roof area to be elevated (no change in usable square footage.)
