NOTICE OF PUBLIC HEARING
Minor Coastal Development Permit
COMPLETE DATE: August 19,1997
DESCRIPTION:
Placement of approximately 500 yards of rock fill material to elevate and improve a 500-foot long
12-foot wide section of existing dirt transmission line maintenance access road.
LOCATION:
"This project is within the City of Carlsbad's Coastal Zone at: the south side of El Camino Real
east of Kelly Drive.
ASSESSOR'S PARCEL NUMBER:
207-101-09
APPLICANT:
San Diego Gas & Electric Co.
No formal public hearing is required for this application because (1) the proposed development costs
$60,000 or less; (2) no other discretionary approvals are required; and (3) there will be no adverse impacts
on coastal resources or public access to the shoreline or coast.
Be advised that a public hearing will only be held for this proposal upon the receipt by the City of a
written request for a public hearing within fifteen (15) working days of the date of this notice, or by
November 1, 1997. Failure to request a hearing or provide written comments within the fifteen (15)
working day timeframe may result in loss of the ability to appeal to the Coastal Commission any action
taken by the City on this Minor Coastal Development Permit Application.
The Planning Director will determine this application fifteen (15) working days after the date of this
notice if no public hearing is requested.
