HomeMy WebLinkAboutCDP 97-15; Wollan Residence; Coastal Development Permit (CDP) (8)City of Carlsbad Planning Department NOTICE OF PUBLIC HEARING Minor Coastal Development Permit COMPLETE DATE: May 27, 1997 DESCRIPTION: Residential construction to an existing single family residence consisting of: (1) a 546 sq. ft. conversion of an existing garage to living area; (2) a second story addition (560 sq. ft) over the newly converted living area, and; (3) the construction of 675 sq. ft. of new garage space. All proposed improvements are located on the eastern portion of the lot/existing structure, and no impacts or encroachments to the blufftop area are involved. LOCATION: This project is within the City of Carlsbad's Coastal Zone at: 5001 Tierra Del Oro within the appeal jurisdiction of the Coastal Commission. ASSESSOR'S PARCEL NUMBER: 210-020-20 APPLICANT: DonWollan No formal public hearing is required for this application because (1) the proposed development costs $60,000 or less; (2) no other discretionary approvals are required; and (3) there will be no adverse impacts on coastal resources or public access to the shoreline or coast. Be advised that a public hearing will only be held for this proposal upon the receipt by the City of a written request for a public hearing within fifteen (15) working days of the date of this notice, or by June 18. 1997. Failure to request a hearing or provide written comments within the fifteen (15) working day timeframe may result in loss of the ability to appeal to the Coastal Commission any action taken by the City on this Minor Coastal Development Permit Application. The Planning Director will determine this application fifteen (15) working days after the date of this notice if no public hearing is requested.
