I am writing to describe the status of my home remodeling. Needless to say I am in a
difficult dilemma. In short I was led to believe (by my architect) that the issuance of a
building permit was emanate by June 1,1997. With this in mind I began demolition on
May 15, 1997. The roof of my old garage along with my drive-way have both been
removed, and my new garage footings and foundation have been formed. Now I'm
looking at the prospect of not receiving a building permit until sometime is mid July at
best.
I respectfully request some form of relief in order to pour the foundation and Dn've-way,
so I'm not walking on dirt mounds, and I have some place to park my cars. 1 fully
realize that this was my mistake, and am willing to completely restore the original
structure if my permit is denied.
