Dear Sandy, Michael, and Don:
The member organizations of the North County Open Space Coalition would like to
thank you for taking the time to work with us on the Carlsbad Municipal golf course. We
appreciated your time and patience during out last minute negotiations before the
California Coastal Commission hearing. The intention to remain chemical-free will no
doubt make this an award-winning, showcase golf course. We look forward to working
with you to make that a reality.
Our coordinator, Allison Rolfe, has recently sent you a summary of costs associated with
"eco/organic" golf courses, and we would be happy to meet with you further about this in
advance of the City Council hearing on the golf course financing. We hope we can stand
united again as that next action is taken. Also, we look forward to continued
collaboration once the technical committee for the golf course is established. And, of
course, we look forward to working with you onthe finalization and implementation of an
effective habitat conservation plan for Carlsbad.
