SUBJECT: KELLY CORPORATE CENTER RIPARIAN BUFFER - SDP 97-25KDP
97-52
Dear Stuart,
I have reviewed the 8 %” by 11” sheet you submitted showing the realignment of the parking lot
and circulation aisle in the southwest portion of the site. I concur that the 50 foot riparian area
buffer is to be measured from the riparian area and not the limits of a coastal commission deed
restriction boundary. However, I do not know if the Coastal Commission Deed Restriction
included any area beyond the limits of the resource for which it was required or if there is a
discrepancy in delineating the boundaries of the riparian area. For purposes of processing the
Coastal Development Permit I will apply the 50 foot buffer from the edge of the riparian area.
The edge determination must be made by a qualified biologist and concurred with by
representatives of the wildlife agencies.
