FLOOD PLAIN DOCUMENTATION
This letter is an outline of the information the City would consider in-lieu of an SUP to document
the flood elevation at your proposed project. This information should be presented to the City
in the form of a letter/report certifying the following:
1. Indicate the 100-year flood elevation at your proposed project site.
2. Explain and document how the flood elevation was determined.
3. Identify any changes which have occurred to the drainage basin since that documentation
that would impact the elevation. (Le. increased rainfall intensity, changed development
assumptions, alterations in channel cross section.)
4. Define method of analysis used to determine the amount of impact or lack thereof to the
elevation.
5. Plot the subject property showing the existing topography with the 100-year flood
elevation plotted on it.
6. Provide a conclusion and recommendation on development of the property as it relates
to the 1 00-year flood elevation.
Copies of the documents and work sheets used to determine and analyze impacts of the
1 00-year flood elevation should be submitted.
The report must be written by a registered engineer competent in the field of hydrology. The
engineer must sign and stamp the report.
