Minor Coastal Develonment Permit
COMPLETE DATE: January 14,1998
DESCRIPTION: Construction of an approximately 125 foot long and 10 foot wide left turn lane
on northbound Carlsbad Boulevard at the intersection of Poinsettia Lane. The
turn lane will allow U-turns at the intersection.
LOCATION: This project is within the City of Carlsbad’s Coastal Zone at the intersection of
Carlsbad Boulevard and Poinsettia lane.
ASSESSOR’S PARCEL NUMBER: N/A
APPLICANT: City of Carlsbad
No formal public hearing is required for this application because (1) the proposed development
costs $60,000 or less; (2) no other discretionary approvals are required; and (3) there will be no
adverse impacts on coastal resources or public access to the shoreline or coast.
Be advised that a uublic hearing will onlv be held for this urooosal upon the receipt bv the
Citv of a written reauest for a public hearing within fifteen (15) worhinu davs of the date of
this notice, or bv Februarv 4, 1998. Failure to request a hearing or provide written comments
within the fifteen (15) working day timeframe may result in loss of the ability to appeal to the
Coastal Commission any action taken by the City on this Minor Coastal Development Permit
Application.
The Planning Director will determine this application fifteen (15) worhina davs after the
date of this notice if no aubhc bearing is requested.
