Dear Jeff,
I meant to ask you the other day about the left turn lane at Poinsettia Lane,
which we have some serious concerns about. If we allow direct access from Poinsettia
into South Carlsbad SB Campground, you are inviting problems with vehicles turning
left from the north bound lane into the campground and tying up south bound traffic.
A much better solution would have been a left turn, U-turn opportunity at Encinas
and Island Way. The advantages would be that the potential tie up of traffic would be
less of a concern at the north end, and day users would be able to access the north
parking lot from the north bound direction.
