SUBJECT: CDP 9%1nSDU 98-02 - GUNTER RESIDENCE
Thank you for applying for Land Use Permits in the City of Carlsbad. The Planning Department
has reviewed your Coastal Development Permit, Second Dwelling Unit, application nos. CDP
98- 17\SDU 98-02, as to its completeness for processing.
INCOMPLETE
The application is incomplete, as submitted. Attached are two lists. The first list is information
which must be submitted to complete your application. This list of items must be submitted
directly to your staff planner by appointment. All list items must be submitted
simultaneously and a copy of this list must be included with your submittals. No processing
of your application can occur until the application is determined to be complete. The second list
is issues of concern to staff. When all required materials are submitted the City has 30 days to
make a determination of completeness. If the application is determined to be complete,
processing for a decision on the application will be initiated. In addition, please note that you
have six months from the date the application was initially filed, February 4, 1998, to either
resubmit the application or submit the required information. Failure to resubmit the application
or to submit the materials necessary to determine your application complete shall be deemed to
constitute withdrawal of the application. If an application is withdrawn or deemed withdrawn, a
new application must be submitted.

1. Please amend the building elevation sheet for the second dwelling unit to label the
maximum building height.

Please indicate the name of the sewer, water and school districts providing service to the
project.
Please show the bearings as well as the distances of each exterior boundary line.
Please indicate any proposed fences, their location in relation to property line, materials
and heights.
Please show street grade adjacent to the property.
Please show a typical street section for all streets adjacent to the property.
Please show all easements, including their width, location and use, i.e. public or private,
i.e. numbers 6 and 7 in the title report.
Please show sewer and water services (water meter and sewer cleanout).
Please indicate the type of driveway, i.e. concrete, etc.
Please adjust the toe of the slope relative to the driveway, as it must be 3’ away from
property line.
Please change the edge of the driveway so it is 2’ from property line, making the width of
the driveway 26’ instead of 28’. (Relates to note above.) Check slope on grading plan.
The. flow line of the drainage swale must be 5’ from the building. (Refer to Standard GS-
14). As an alternative, a letter from a registered soils engineer recommending the swale
be less than 5’ from the building may be accepted.
Please show access points to adjacent undeveloped lands if applicable.
Please indicate earthwork volumes; cut, fill, import and export.
