COMPLETE DATE: March 3.1998
DESCRIPTION: Construction of a storage/electrical room to be located in the southeast corner of the
site that previously accommodated a trash enclosure. The new structure will be approximately 170
square feet in size and 11’8” in height. Stucco walls with tile roofing will be provided.
LOCATION: This project is within the City of Carlsbad’s Coastal Zone at: 5424 Paseo de1 Norte.

No formal public hearing is required for this application because (1) the proposed development costs
$60,000 or less; (2) no other discretionary approvals are required; and (3) there will be no adverse impacts
on coastal resources or public access to the shoreline or coast.
Be advised that a public hearinp will only be held for this proposal upon the receint bv the Citv of a
written request for a public hearing within fifteen (151 workinp davs of the date of this notice, or bv
March 24, 1998. Failure to request a hearing or provide written comments within the fifteen (15)
working day timeframe may result in loss of the ability to appeal to the Coastal Commission any action
taken by the City on this Minor Coastal Development Permit Application.
The Planning: Director will determine this application fifteen (151 working: davs after the date of this
notice (March 24,1998) if no public hearinp is reauested.
