NOTICE OF PUBLIC HEARING

DESCRIPTION:
Request for approval of a Coastal Development Permit to allow for the construction of a
single family residence.
LOCATION:
This project is within the City of Carlsbad’s Coastal Zone located at the west side of Park
Drive, south of Tamarack Avenue and north of Hillside Drive within Local Facilities
Management Zone 1.

A public hearing on the above proposed prqject will be held by the Planning Commission in the
Council Chambers, 1200 Carlsbad Village Drive. Carlsbad, California, on August 5. 1998 at 6:00
p.m.
Persons are cordially invited to attend the public hearing and provide the decision makers with
any oral or written comments they may have regarding the project. The prqject will be described
and a staff recommendation given. followed by public testimony, questions and a decision.
Copies of the staff report will be available on or after July 30. 1998.

APPEALS
If you challenge the Coastal Development Permit in court, you may be limited to raising only
those issues you or someone else raised at the public hearing described in this notice. or in
written correspondence delivered to the City of Carlsbad prior to the public hearing.
1. Anneals to the Citv Council: Where the decision is appealable to the City Council.
appeals must be tiled in writing within ten (10) calendar days after a decision by the
Planning Commission.
2. Coastal Commission Appealable Project:

Where the decision is appealable to the Coastal Commission, appeals must be filed with the
Coastal Commission within ten (10) working days after the Coastal Commission has received a
Notice of Final Action from the City of Carlsbad. Applicants will be notified by the Coastal
Commission of the date that their appeal period will conclude. The San Diego offtce of the
