Re: CDP 98-69 - Saxony Pump Station Rehabilitation
Dear Mr. Holzmiller:
Thank you for your concerns regarding the Saxony Pump Station Rehabilitation Project
detailed in you letter to Dudek & Associates dated 11/2/98. In your letter there are six (6)
comments under "Planning" and five (5) comments under "Engineering", a copy of the
letter is attached for reference. Please find below our response to each of your concerns:
Planning:
1. Concur, the dewatering note will be revised as follows:
"The contractor shall discharge dewatering flows into the Leucadia County Water
District sewer system".
2. Concur.
3. The acoustical material is sprayed on to the block wall. To reach the desired
thickness two (2) or three (3) coats will be required. A copy of the manufactures
application procedure is attached for your reference.
4. Concur, the top and bottom wall heights will be shown on C-3, enlarged grading
plan "B".
5. The driveway will be the first item to be constructed, after the driveway is
completed it will be used for construction access to the site.
6. We are currently coordinating with the Batiquitos Lagoon Foundation, the
potential mitigation site is located near the northeast corner of the lagoon, south
of the intersection of Columbine Dr. and Arenal Rd. The mitigation ratio for this
project is 3:1 and 5:1 with a total mitigation requirement of 0.48 acre.

perimeter of the asphalt truck turn around area. It's purpose is to contain the
pavement preventing sloughing at the edges.
4. A copy of the plat and legal description for the new property line is attached for
