The Planning Department has reviewed your Minor Coastal Development Permit, application no. CDP 99-39, as to its completeness for processing. The application is complete, as submitted. Although the initial processing of your application may have already begun, the technical acceptance date is acknowledged by the date of this communication. The City may, in the course of processing the application, request that you clarify, amplify, correct, or otherwise, supplement the basic information required for the application. In addition, you should also be aware that various design issues may exist. These issues must be addressed before this application can be scheduled for a hearing. The application and plans submitted for this proposed project are considered complete. Additionally, staff has conducted a review of the project for engineering issues of concern. Engineering issues which need to be resolved or adequately addressed prior to staff making a determination on the proposed project are as follows: 1. Show surface drainage on property. 2. Indicate how National Pollutant Discharge Elimination System (NPDES) criteria will be met. Existing automatic fire sprinkler system must be certified as conforming to the design density required for the proposed building use, or sprinkler system must be redesigned to comply. 2. Plans for spray booths or other finishing equipment must be submitted to the Fire Department, and approved prior to installation. The Fire Department will neither inspect nor test equipment for which plans have not been approved. 3. Provide information regarding the method of paint product storage, i.e. quantity, type etc. 4. Secure permits from the Department of Environmental Health for storage of flammable liquids. 5. Indicate locations of closest two fire hydrants.
