Dear Ms. Saiga:
The California State Coastal Conservancy has received from
you a cashier's check in the amount of three hundred thousand
dollars ($300,000.00), drawn on Sumitomo Bank of California (San
Diego office) in satisfaction of special condition #8 of the
above referenced permit. It is our understanding, based on the
requirements of that permit condition, that this payment relates
to the conversion of 60 acres of agricultural lands that are
subject to agricultural conversion provisions of the certified
Poinaettia Shores Master Plan.
These funds will be deposited the Carlsbad Mitigation
Account of the State coastal Conservancy Fund, pursuant to
Section 30171.5 of the Public Resources Code, and dedicated to
the purposes specified in that statute. Thank you for your
cooperation and participation in this mitigation effort.
