SUBJECT: LA COSTA C0NDOMI"MS PROJECT
Dear Property Owner:
We are the Planning Comultants for the above descrikd project which is located immediately
adjacent on the east to the Marbella Townhomes on the south side of La Costa Avenue. It was
discovered that there was an error made by Chicago Title Company in providing noticing
information to ten property owners on La Costa Avenue regarding the March 23" City Council
hearing for the project. As a result, the City Council continued the item to its April 13* meeting.
Please let me assure you that the error was unintentional and we apologize for the mistake.
You will be receiving or have already received a letter from the City of Carlsbad notifying you
of the rescheduled City Council heating for this project on Apd 13,2004. The meeting will be
held at 6:OO pm at City Hall (1 200 Carlsbad Village Drive).
From the outset of the project three years ago, we have tried to involve as many of the
surrounding property owners as possible. We conducted a series of workshops with many of the
property owners without realizing that a small group of neighbors had been excluded. These
workshops were provided as a courtesy by OUT client md were not required by the city because
we wanted to ensure that everyone was well informed.
We would like to offer you the option to come to ow office at your convenience between now
and April 13' to review the plans and allow us to answer any questions you might have. Please
contact BilI Hofman or Patia Christy to set up an appointment, Incidentally, the plans and all
documents associated with the project can also be viewed at the city's Planning Department
offices located at 163 5 Faraday Avenue.
Again, we apologize for the error in notification and look forward to hearing from you.
