This is in response to your request for updated information on our school district's
attendance areas for the La Costa Condominiums Project with 58 multi-family units,
located on the South side of La Costa Ave.
This development is within the La Costa Heights Elementary School boundary, a K - 6*
grade school located at 3035 Levante Street, Carlsbad, 92009. La Costa Heights is a
1998 California Distinguished School and a 1999 Blue Ribbon School, located
approximately 1.5 miles away.
We currently provide bus transportation at a cost of $230 per year. The transportation
is provided through a cooperative with the San Dieguito Union High School District.
You and your clients are advised that this project is in a significant growth area. As
such, the Board will make adjustments as necessary to provide appropriate housing for
students.
