SUBJECT: AFFORDABLE HOUSING AGREEMENT-OCEANBLUFF (CT 93-09(A))
Dear Craig:
As you are aware, the City Council approved, on December 2, 1997 (resolution number
97-703), the Affordable Housing Agreement between the City of Carlsbad and Catellus
Residential Group, Inc. That agreement authorized the purchase of 16.24 affordable
housing credits in order to satisfy the affordable housing obligation of the Oceanbluff
Project under the City's Inclusionary Housing Ordinance.
As you are also aware, the City of Carlsbad Planning Commission, on June 17, 1998,
adopted Resolution Nos. 43 18, 43 19 and 4320 recommending City Council approval of
CT93-09(A).
In satisfaction of the subject Affordable Housing Agreement, enclosed is a check in the
amount of $523,252.80 representing full payment of the affordable housing obligation for
the Oceanbluff Project. With this payment, the affordable housing requirement for the
Oceanbluff Project is completely satisfied.
Please provide us with the fully executed Affordable Housing Agreement, signed by the
City Manager. Thank you.
