Ann Hysong, Project Manager Planning Department, City of Carlsbad 2075 Las Palmas Drive Carlsbad, CA 92009-1576 Re: OCEAN BLUFF Dear Ms. Hysong: \ This letter is to inform you that San Diego Gas & Electric Company (SDG&E) is interested in the above referenced development by virtue of existing 100' Transmission easement within or adjacent to the subject development. Due to the restrictive nature of the easement, any grading or other improvements within the easement or that affect access to and along the easement will require written consent from SDG&E. Since there is potential for unacceptable impacts to our easement, SDG&E requests that you red flag the project and not issue a grading permit until we review the project with the developer to resolve any conflicts. Once negative impacts to our easement/access have been eliminated, SDG&E will issue a "Letter of Permission for Grading". By a copy of this letter, I am requesting the developer or his agent to contact me to arrange a meeting to discuss the project in relation to our easement. Early discussions could very likely eliminate delay causing design changes in the later stages of the plan approval process. Along with the developer's copy of this letter, 1 have enclosed a copy of our "Guide for Encroachment on Transmission Rights-of-Way" to assist when planning a project on or near a new transmission corridor.
