This is due to the fact that although there is native habitat on the north side of the proposed alignment there is no habitat on the south side to which a connection could be made. The south side of the proposed collector is currently in intensive agriculture. The existence of this intensive agriculture area would preclude the establishment of a habitat linkage in the drainage.
