HomeMy WebLinkAboutCT 93-09A; Ocean Bluff; Tentative Map (CT) (9)February 23, 2001 Larry Black City of Carlsbad Planning Dept. 1635 Faraday Ave. Carlsbad, CA 92008 RE: Project No. CT93-09(A) Ocean Bluff-Seaport Place Cul-de-sac Dear Mr. Black, The Cantamar Carlsbad Association (Ocean Bluff) Board of Directors has requested that a Planning Dept. representative kindly attend their next meeting (April-TBA). Several questions have surfaced regarding the proposed Seaport Place cul-de-sac improvements. This flat strip (Association property) is sandwiched between the above city street and a dedicated "Open Space". As the developer did not provide any improvements it has become an Association issue. While the Association wants to incur as little liability and expense as possible, herein lie the concerns. Select homeowners have expressed an interest in picnic tables, park benches and grass. As we do not know how this area is zoned, we are concerned with fire induced activities, i.e., barbecues, smoking, etc. In addition, there is a very steep drop-off along the edge of this property. We, the Board, would greatly appreciate your attendance as we need your guidance and official knowledge. The meetings start at 4:30 p.m. and would require a maximum of 30 minutes.
