The purpose of this forum is to allow City Staff the opportunity to share information with surrounding residents or adjacent property owners regarding the project proposed by Standard Pacific on the Poinsettia Properties known as the Thompson/Tabata sites. Attached please find a copy of the agenda for the Information Forum and a map to assist you in locating the City's Faraday Building. As indicated on the attached agenda, staff will share information on the features of the proposed project, review the road and circulation issues, and the needs and requirements for affordable housing in the community. We will also explain the process that will be used for review of the project by the City's Planning Commission and ultimately action by the City Council. At this time, there are no approvals for the subject project. There has only been staff review of the project application as related to existing standards. The noted Community Information Forum is being held before the project is scheduled for review by the Planning Commission or City Council. There will be no action taken by the City during this Forum to approve, deny or modify the subject project. The Forum is intended simply to provide accurate and more detailed information on the proposed project to adjacent or surrounding residents/property owners. Public hearings will be held at a later date before the Planning Commission and City Council to receive public testimony for or against the subject project, and to discuss conditions for the project. I hope you will be able to attend the subject Information Forum on August 17th. I believe it will be helpful for publicly sharing the details of the proposed project and answering questions from the community. If you have questions regarding the Community Information Forum noted within this correspondence, please contact Mike Grim, Senior Planner, at (760) 602-4623.
