Dear Mr. Holzmiller,
We would like to object to the building of "Affordable Housing
Units" on the cul-de-sac of Lonicera Street, south of Camino de las
Ondas. There will be a higher population density on this land
which will result in more overcrowding of Pacific Rim Elementary
School. We understand the school is already overcrowded and
portable classrooms have or will be brought in to accomodate the
overflow of students. The building of these townhouses plus 10
single family homes will greatly affect the traffic and public
safety of this neighborhood as well. The townhouses whether
larger or smaller (with more units) will greatly increase the
population density of the area. Also, this does not seem to be the
place to build a central recreational vehicle parking lot. These
lots are not attractive no matter what is done to disguise them.
Again, we hope you will reconsider this plan. It will have a huge
negative effect on our neighborhood in terms of an overcrowded
school, increased traffic, an unattractive central recreational
vehicle parking lot and public safety.
