The District has reviewed the subject project, based on our review of the project, we have the following comments regarding potable water, recycled water and sewer systems: 1. Sequentially, the Developer's Engineer should do the following: A. Meet with the City Fire Marshal and establish the fire protection requirements. B. Prepare and submit a colored recycled water use area map and submit this map to the Planning Department for processing and approval by the District Engineer. C. Prior to the preparation of sewer, water and recycled water improvement plans, the Developer shall submit preliminary system layouts to the District Engineer for review, comment and approval. 2. The Developer will be expected to provide detailed information to the District Engineer regarding water demand, irrigation demand, fire flow demand in gallons Page 2 w Planning Department Date: April 29, 1999 per minute, and projected sewer flow in million gallons per day at the time of first formal plan check submittal. 3. The entire potable water system, recycled water system and sewer system shall be evaluated in detail by Developer and District Engineer to insure that adequate capacity, pressure and flow demands can be met. The Developer/Developer's Engineer shall meet with the District Engineer or his representative for a preliminary review of potable water, recycled water and sewer facility requirements. See Comment No. 1, above. 4. All District pipelines, pump stations, pressure reducing stations and appurtenances required for this project by the District shall be within public right- of-way or within easements granted to the District or the City of Carlsbad. 5. All potable water and recycled water meters shall be placed within public right of way. 6. The Developer will be responsible for replacement of the 10-inch water main connecting Seaview Way and Bedford Road. The details regarding this replacement include new easements and rerouting to avoid structures. The Developer will contact the District to discuss acceptable alternatives for this relocation. 7. The Developer will contact the District to discuss sewer depth and alignments. This discussion shall necessarily include specific information regarding pad elevations with regard to existing sewer connections in Seaview Way.
