Subject: Request change from Active Common Area Volley Ball to Active Common Area
Badminton

Dear Elaine:
We are requesting that you recommend to the Planning Department to approve this minor
change in the common recreational area. The reasons for this request are as follows:
1) The approved grading plan and size of the common area is more
compatible for the less intense badminton activity.
2) The location of the active recreation area is in close proximity to the
existing houses to the West and the Llewellyn Shores Condominium.
Because badminton is a slower and more of a senior activity and thus
more compatible to our neighbors.
3) However the most important issue is the safety factor. Volley ball is a
fast and physical sport and because the recreation area is elevated
there is a probability that a player could get hurt.
We want to thank you for your continued support and input in our project. We believe this
change is for the best interest for all concerned.
