Reference: Grasslands Mitigation for the Spyglass Project on CalTrans property in Northeast
Carlsbad (LADWIG DESIGN GROUP Job No. L-1065)
Dear Terry:
Thank you for confirming today that you will work with us on the preparation of a grasslands
mitigation program on the approximately 10.3 acres of CalTrans property in Northeast Carlsbad.
As we discussed earlier, this mitigation is for 5.15 acres of native grasslands impacts associated with
the Spyglass n Project, hi addition, I ask that you start the preparation of the formal agreement
between the developer and the State for the mitigation site.
We will now begin the preparation of the necessary mitigation plans and as soon as they are ready
we will submit them to you for comments. It was also helpful to learn from you that in three of six
regions within the State that State lands have been used to do mitigation.
Thanks again for your help and I look forward to working with you on the preparation of a
satisfactory mitigation plan and also the necessary formal agreement that needs to be entered into
for the mitigation site.
