Re; Spyglass
Dear Van;
After receiving the list of mitigation measures on our Spyglass project, we would like to
propose that a sentence be added to item #5. Our request would be as follows; The
developer may pay an in-lieu mitigation fee in the amount of $5,000 per disturbed acre.
This would equate to 10.3 acres x $5,000 = $51,500.
It is very difficult to find land, design and implement a plan, await approval as well as
monitor it for five years. This process could better be handled by the city at a later date
when more mitigated land is acquired and therefore a more efficient and economical
procedure could be followed. This would also create a better quality and better located
revegetated area.
Please advise us of your thoughts on this matter as we would like to move forward as
quickly as possible on this project.
