Re: SpyGlass II a 19 lot subdivision located on Carlsbad Village Drive and El Camino
Real (CT 99-08/SPD 99-04).
Dear V. Lynch
North County Transit District has reviewed the above referenced project and has the
following comments:
1. The project site is currently serviced by Route 309 and 319. Route 309 operates
between Encinitas Station and Vandegrift Blvd, in Oceanside. It provides service
every half-hour Monday through Friday from 5:06am to 10:42pm, and Saturday and
Sunday from 6:40am to 12:00am. Route 319 operates between South Carlsbad
Business Parks and Plaza Camino Real. It provides service Monday through Friday
in the morning from 5:21am to 8:00am and in the evening from 2:35pm to 5:00pm.
2. There are two existing bus stops located on El Camino Real that would service the
proposed development; one northbound farside of Carlsbad Village Drive and the
other located southbound farside of Carlsbad Village Drive. These two bus stops
eliminate the need for additional bus stop improvements to the proposed
development. However, providing convenient access for pedestrians to El Camino
Real from the interior of the development, by means of sidewalk or pathway, is
recommended.
