Dear Anne,
Thank you for taking your time this morning to go over the anticipated schedule for the
processing of the Buerger subdivision. I understand that you have not yet had a chance to review
Western Pacific Housing's last submittal (submitted August 11, 1999); however, you are
anticipating that the project will be heard at the November 17th Planning Commission hearing
given that our submittal adequately addresses the City's comments. Western Pacific Housing
recognizes that this is a tentative date. Nevertheless, I would like to assist you in any way I can in
order to be ready for the November 17th hearing date.
Just to confirm, it is my understanding that because Buerger is less than 50 units, the Planning
Commission is delegated the authority to take final action on the Tentative Map, Planned
Development Permit, Hillside Development Permit, and Coastal Development Permit. The Zone
Change and Local Coastal Program Amendment will need to be heard by both the Planning
Commission and the City Council. If this is incorrect, please let me know as soon as possible.
Thank you for your continued courtesy and cooperation.
Sincerely
WESTERN PACIFIC HOUSING
