SUBJECT: Rancho Carrillo Village "L" CT 99-11/CP 99-08/MPA 139(1)
The District is responding to your request for comments on the subject project dated
November 29. 1999. Based on our review of the project, we have the following
conditions regarding potable water, recycled water and sewer systems:
1. All potable water and recycled water services and meters shall be placed at a
location approved by the Deputy City Engineer - Utilities and shown on public
improvement plans.
2. Sewer laterals and cleanouts shall be placed at a location approved by the
Deputy City Engineer - Utilities and shown on public improvement plans.
3. All public water improvements shall be designed and constructed substantially as
shown on the Tentative Map 99-11 to the satisfaction of the Deputy City
Engineer - Utilities and shown on public improvement plans.
4. All public sewer improvements shall be designed and constructed substantially
as shown on the Tentative Map 99-11 to the satisfaction of the Deputy City
Engineer - Utilities and shown on public improvement plans.

5. All public facilities required for this project shall be within public right-of-way or
within minimum 20' wide easements granted to the District or the City of
Carlsbad. At the discretion of the Deputy City Engineer - Utilities, wider
easements may be deemed necessary for adequate maintenance, access
and/or joint utility purposes, as appropriate.
6. Landscape and irrigation plans shall be designed for use of recycled water and
submitted to the Deputy City Engineer - Utilities for review, comment and
approval.
