November 3, 1999 DSK Carlsbad Partners, LLC Suite 300 3838 Camino Del Rio North San Diego CA 92108 SUBJECT: CT 99-17/PUD 99-07/SUP 99-06 - CARLSBAD RESEARCH CENTER LOT 12 Dear Sirs: The Planning and Engineering Departments have completed the second review of the Carlsbad Research Center Lot 12 project. There are just a couple of items left that need to be addressed prior to the project going forward. Please have these items corrected and return four sets of plans for the final plancheck. Planninq Please show the height of the monument wall along the El Camino Real frontage. The height should not exceed five feet. Please provide an approval letter from the Carlsbad Research Center Association’s architectural review board. Enqineerinq Provide calculations which verify that the existing onsite IS” storm drain is capable of collecting and conveying the anticipated storm flows from the development. This flow is identified as 27.3 cfs per the preliminary hydrology study. Identify capacity of the existing 18” pipe (private) and the immediate downstream reach (public) in Priestly Drive to ensure the system will function properly. Revise the tentative map to include any upgrades required to accommodate the flows.
