The Planning Commission public hearing held to consider the CUP in July 2005 revealed significant neighborhood concerns regarding noise and offensive behavior primarily emanating from the park's basketball court. To deai with these concerns, subsequent Planning Commission and Parks and Recreation Commission meetings were held. Corrective actions taken by police and parks and recreation staff to respond to the concerns are documented in the staff report prepared for the Planning Commission's February 21, 2007 meeting. At the meeting, the Commission approved Resolution 6253, approving the CUP in perpetuity with annual staff reviews and finding the conditions of the July 2005 Resolution 5934 adequate.
