We have reviewed the following projects and submit these com- ments :
Request for Eligineering comments
1, Variance 245 - Mike Straub (Park and Monroe)
a. The variance is not'acceptable. Although there is one nearby flag lot on Monroe and two fronting on Park Drive, this proposal renders crowded, makeshift development, located around * existing structures in a "slop lot" area. Two of the three pan- handle lots proposed are non-rectangular, a feature not shared
by others in the area.
If the variance is approved, applicant shall execute an offer of dedication of an -additional .nine feet of Park Drive
right-of-way with a twenty foot property line radius at the in- tersection of Monroe Street and Park Drive.

The Engineering Department is opposed to renewal of this long-standing permit because traffic circulation is not appro- priate for a semi-permanent development and because the slopes
and interior boundaries lack specified landscaping.
