Subject: Conditional Use Permit No. 110 Batiqui San Diego Gas & Electric Company - Carlsbad Municipal Water District.
Dear Mr. Plender:
Responding to your request our District has the following comments with regard to the subject application for the establishment of an electrical substation:
1. The subject site is located within the service area of our District and public water service will be made available for all necessary purposes for the development of the site. Necessary arrangements will be made with the public utility so that the various water service needs can be fulfilled.
2. Our District owns and operates a water reservoir facility to the immediate west of the substation site, and additionally the utility has recently dedicated to the District property, so that we can construct a second reservoir. At the time of our acquisition of the original parcel for the reservoir site, it was understood that our neighbors would be the substation facility and accordingly we proceeded immediately for integrated planning for purposes of access and landscaping.
